Remnants from this summer

So June 29th came like we knew it would and we had to say goodbye to our families that we love sooo much! This was the night before we left. We have grown so close with the Moores (my sister Charity, her hubby TJ, and their 4 girls Emeri, Anabelle, Josie, and Charlotte).

We had beautiful fireside and lakeside picnic for memorial day. It was so beautiful and fun just US time. I love my man!

We had a great time at the Hill family reunion in SLC. We got to spend time with Randy, Sonia, Austin, and the Skifton family. We were hoping to see Curtis, Mellissa, and Brody, but we hopefully will this December!

We had a way fun time hiking Stuart Falls with Catherine and Brad. We had a weekend of fun staying at Catherine's cabin which has the most amazing view of the falls, hiking, doing wave runners on Utah Lake, campfires, and hot tubbing. Catherine and Brad are such good friends to us!

Scott just loves golfing with the guys.

We spent a day in SLC enjoying the sites before we left Utah to make the big move to Lexington.

We got a scooter! We traded in one of Scott's old scooters, paid a little money, and got ourselves a powerful used scooter that is a little too big for me, but perfect for Scott. Oh and it was stolen once so far, right off our back patio here in Lexington. A towing company found it a block away from our house and took it away then made us pay them a bucket load before they would give it back to us. so fun.

Scott sold pest control in San Antonio for 5 weeks while I did summer classes and finished up my degree. He love to send me pictures of him holding or touching scary creatures like snakes, spider, bugs, lizards, geckos, and such.

Scott's First Post...a milestone.

The bird and where it...landed.
It probably had over a 4 feet wingspan. It was pretty heavy for a bird.

camping at the grand canyon

Picture of us at the Grand Canyon at the end of a hike.

So...we went on a little adventure for spring break. First stop, Lawson Home. We had a great visit with Nama and Papa Law and Sarah and Ash-smash-con-dilly-dash. It was way fun to visit! Next stop, the Grand Canyon. We got there late our first night, around 11pm. We set up our tent amidst all the snow and slept with cold feet. The next morning we went to pay for our stay and the Ranger for some reason decided to give us a deal and we only had to pay for the next night, so we had two nights at the Grand Canyon for $18. Normally, it would be $25 to get into the park, and $18/night for the tent site. Oh, and the canyon was cool.

After that we went to Gilbert/Mesa area and stayed with our relatives the Kokaliares family.
We:
1) went flying with Uncle Tom twice in his little 4 passenger Cessna.
2) rode bikes with Uncle Tom
3) went golfing with Tom
4) went to Alice and Wonderland with Cory
5) attended Catherine and Ben's wedding and reception
6) rode go-carts at F1 in Phoenix (Julie almost won!)
7) ran into a hawk or a falcon on our drive back to L-town. (it was big and pretty, before it got wedged into the hole in our car for the fog light)

Christmas and New Years

So, our Christmas was incredibly fun!
*Our break started on Dec.11 with me going to "The Best Christmas Ever part 2" an all girls party with a bunch of my girlfriends at my old house, the boat house.
*Then Scott and I went up to I.F. to celebrate my mother in law, Sonia's birthday with her and Randy on the 12th. That was fun and we loved spending time with them before our Christmas apart. We also celebrated an early Hill family Christmas with them.
*Dec.13th was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! which we celebrated in I.F. with Randy and Sonia
*Dec. 14th we drove to SLC and spent the night at Scott's aunt Dal's so we could get to the Airport early enought to make our flight to Pittsburgh.
*Dec.15 fly to Pittsburgh to see Sarah, Micah, and Ash bash. So fun! We went to the science museum, worked out at Carnegie Mellon fitness center while Scott and Micah played some B-BALL with the bros, went to the Carnegie Art museum, and played loads of Settlers! We had great bonding time with the Keiths!
*Dec.18 we attempted to drive the supposed 7 hours from Pittsburgh to Raleigh, North Carolina but got stuck in one of the most serious snow storms I have ever witnessed, which is crazy for a Utah girl. So we were so lucky to get a room at a motel in Virginia and waited out the storm.
*Dec.19th arrive in North Carolina and spent the day at Ala's house with the whole family sledding, hugging, talking, and loving every minute with the family!
Highlights from Christmas in North Carolina:
-home church with testimony meeting and great lesson given by Addy
- sledding in Ala's and her neighbors front yard which was a huge hill
- rockband at Lisa's
- Amish farm
- ice skating (especially with the little kids and Micah John, hah)
- bowling
- Raleigh Temple with Addy, charity and T.J, Sarah and Micah, and Scott and I
- Lisa nearly burning her house down 3 times
- Christmas morning with the kids... Lily loved her scooter!...Addy can film even while asleep on the couch... Eden and Faith scampering to see the piles of cutely wrapped presents under the tree...Eden and Faith waking up Lily so early that she could barely see or walk...
- Mom surprising everyone with amazingly cute aprons (mine was the cutest)
- Asher starting to walk alone
- Duke gardens
- Glee musical numbers
- the kids playing D and D
- family nativity scene, Scott as the donkey and Julie as the Angel

New years Was a blast for Scott and I too. We went up to Sundance with some of our friends Catherine and Brad. A bunch of my good friends came up as well and it was just a party. We had dinner and games then went sledding and snowshoeing on the Sundance resort to bring in the new year. It was a great time and the little bum sleds were the best because with the two person sled I got blasted with snow in the face and my hair froze in a nest on top my head. It was so good to spend time with Katie, Cambri, and Taryn who I love and wish I saw much more often!

Well, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!

Love life.
